Hi Jasmijn, where are you in Australia? I’m in Brisbane.

Also, in 8.4 there’s no video for the second part of section 6.

8.5 is also missing videos on section 7 and only has 1 video on applications.

The order for module 8 is also out of whack, going 8.4, 8.8, 8.5.

Thanks Sifu. Oh I plan to go back to the beginning shortly.

So the Wu Sau should always be level with the elbow, it’s higher when the elbow is high in Bong Sau but low when in Tan Sau. Ok got it.

Also I think you miss read the fourth question, which was about the hight of the Wu sau when it’s drawn back, not the speed. Previously in SLT when the Wu sau is brought back it only drops so that the finger tips are level with chin but you drop it down much lower. I was looking for more details on why we do this?

      Thanks,

      Adam.

I guess what I’m trying to do is really understand the differences to what I’ve been previously taught nd therefore better understand what you are teaching. So what you are teaching is that in lap sau the thumb should be used as soon as is safe to do so and that the arms/hands are in the correct position to do so. Are there any scenarios where you wouldn’t use the thumb outside of what you have already described?

Hello, I’m Adam from Brisbane Australia and I’ve just recently joined. I previously studied Wing Chun for about 4.5 years under a different Ip Chun lineage. Now I hope to further my studies under Sifu Ward.
