Hi All,
And hello again. I have just recently returned to my Wing Chun training and reawakened my passion for the art. It was a little over a year ago when I left my previous class due to differences in the way things were run. Since then I’ve really struggled with my practice and passion for Wing Chun. And since the beginning of the year I can p…[Read more]

Also, in 8.4 there’s no video for the second part of section 6.
8.5 is also missing videos on section 7 and only has 1 video on applications.
The order for module 8 is also out of whack, going 8.4, 8.8, 8.5.

In 8.2 the video which is supposed to be Wooden Dummy section 4 pt 2 is actually a repeat of Section 3 (basic).

While on Wing Chun Facebook groups, I’ve encountered several people from different lineages who insist that there are hook punches in Wing Chun.
Some claim that the Bong to Jum in the 2nd section in Chum Kiu. Others claim that there’s a hook in Biu Jee in the last section. What’s your opinion on this Sifu?

Thanks Sifu. Oh I plan to go back to the beginning shortly.
So the Wu Sau should always be level with the elbow, it’s higher when the elbow is high in Bong Sau but low when in Tan Sau. Ok got it.
Also I think you miss read the fourth question, which was about the hight of the Wu sau when it’s drawn back, not the speed. Previously in SLT when the…[Read more]

Hi Sifu, I’ve just finish module 2 and I have a few questions to help clear up my understanding and help me let go of old habits. Sorry to bombard you with so many at once but I’m keen to make a thorough transition from what I used to do previously.
You refer to the chop with the ridge of the hand as Fak Sau, in my previous training this was ref…[Read more]

I guess what I’m trying to do is really understand the differences to what I’ve been previously taught nd therefore better understand what you are teaching. So what you are teaching is that in lap sau the thumb should be used as soon as is safe to do so and that the arms/hands are in the correct position to do so. Are there any scenarios where you…[Read more]

Hi all, this is my first post here. I just wanted to gain some more clarity about when and where you use the thumb in lap sau. Sifu’s explanation in this video was great but I guess what I wanted to clarify is the difference in how it has been taught to me previously. While it is very similar there are subtle differences.
So my understanding of t…[Read more]

Hello, I’m Adam from Brisbane Australia and I’ve just recently joined. I previously studied Wing Chun for about 4.5 years under a different Ip Chun lineage. Now I hope to further my studies under Sifu Ward.
