I totally missed the entire conversation between you (Sifu) and Nick! I’m am going to get better at getting more involved on her. Regarding training and feeling like a family it definitely does Sifu. I mean for most of us we don’t have Wing Chun in our area. So it’s awesome to be able to interact, post videos, and get your feedback. One day I’ll make it over to the UK and train in person but as long as I can get your feed back I think I’ll be good. Thanks to Sifu and all my Kung Fu family! Will see you all on the live stream soon!

Wow!! I don’t know how I missed that blog in the past. But that was such great information. Thank you so much Si-Fu! It really cleared up a ton of things for me. It’s funny I had no questions for the last 2 years. I was just training and learning by doing. But now I’m at the stage where I’m looking for understanding of what I’m doing. And this is why it’s always good to re-watch the modules. Thanks so much for your wealth of knowledge Si-Fu. So glad to be your student. See you all in the Livestream!

Lee, I just looked at Module 7.8 as you referenced and you are correct. Si-Fu says on the bong Sau our wrist should be in center when practicing on the wooden dummy. Which is why we use the blade edge and not the forearm. Thank you my friend! Your always very helpful and usually the first to answer my questions haha. Hope you are well with your training! Thanks again!

Thanks Lee for chiming in. Though, everytime I’ve used bong Sau with a turning stance against a punch it’s always been forearm area for contact. I remember Si-Fu saying that depending on our limbs and height that can affect how we do certain forms. Hopefully Si-Fu will chime in and give a bit more detail. Thanks for giving me a module to look back on. I’ll check that out for more details. Thanks my friend!

So much I need to work on! Lol But thank you so much Si-Fu. I was watching my video and I just don’t have that crisp look to the form. I am still new to it. But I’m sure all of these details will make a heck of a difference once I apply them. And Yes! I was literally going to ask if we can go over some of this when I’m in class on Thursday or a future class when you don’t have anything planned. Thank you so much for all your help Si-Fu!

So I guess that means I passed the first assessment? I was still awaiting the results because you never stated if I passed or not lol. But glad to know I passed.
And no worries Si-Fu. I know your busy with family and pretty much running two schools (the physical school and the online school). You definitely cleared up the answer to my question in yesterday’s live stream along with Lee’s comment. I’ll continue working on the BAAT Jam dao and I’ll post a video for critique soon. Thanks for all you do Si-Fu! See you in class on Thursday!

Thanks Lee for sharing that blog. It definitely answered my question. I’ll continue my studies in that order. I mean I should’ve just been following the modules like I’ve been doing anyways lol. Thanks!

Thank you again Si-Fu for the feed back on my wooden dummy form. Also, just wanted to let you know that I still haven’t received my assessments results from back in March. The year is almost over and I planned to do one assessment a year if possible. You can post the results here if that’s easier for you.

Thank you Si-Fu! That means a lot. Means I’m headed in the right direction with my training. Those points are definitely in my notes and I will be working on them before a do my end of the year upload of my forms. I should be in class on Thursday. I’m sure I’ll have questions about these notes so I’ll definitely ask about it haha. Thanks again
      Si-Fu!

No worries bro! I’ve been less active on here myself. I’m still training though! And thanks for the kind words man. I’m really focused on the dummy and my Chum Kiu this year. But hey man, sometime life gets in the way. So I completely understand why you haven’t been as active lately. Hope things go well with your move!

Thanks Nick! I really appreciate your kind words. I’m going to keep working hard and I learn just as much from your post as you learn from mines. I look forward to the day we can all train together in person!
