hi Sifu,
You posted this on Facebook, a couple of weeks ago. I have been pondering it ever since. Can you please explain what it means?
“The body follows movement of the hands. The waist and the stance move together.
I am sorry, but I do not understand… or so I think?
Cheers & Thank you!

Sifu,
During class yesterday, while we were doing mirror stepping, I had a question come to mind.
Quite Simply…
Would we ever block a kick with a kick?
While mirroring an opponent’s movement, it almost seems intuitive? But if not done wisely and correctly it also feels very dangerous.
Of course we have seen this in the movies but how abo…[Read more]

Thanks Sifu. I truly appreciate it. Class was phenomenal! I will definitely watch again! With every layer of improvement there comes even more to learn.
Thanks for constantly pointing the way. I can see how learning the wing chun “alphabet” slowly gives way to becoming a fluent author.
I may know my forms yet I still feel like a novice. I’m…[Read more]

n. francis replied to the topic Biu Gee (8 sections)? in the forum Members Forum 4 years, 7 months ago
Wow. Thanks.
I find this a bit humorous because I too had thought of it as “the elbows” and the the rest. But I couldn’t remember “the rest” so I wrote it down. How funny that I drifted right towards the 8 because it “fits” (or I made it fit).
Thanks for showing me that there is always so much more!
I think I’ll remember it now like..

n. francis started the topic Biu Gee (8 sections)? in the forum Members Forum 4 years, 7 months ago
Sifu,
Is it correct that Biu Gee has 8 sections?
Are they as follows:
Opening
Section 1-4 Kup Jarns
Section 5 Garns
Sections 6 Mun Sau
Section 7 Bius
Section 8 Double Laps
ClosingThen stretching and finish?
I’m not sure if I’m right here? But it seems like the stretching is extra in the form (not a “section” but a closing? Correct…[Read more]

Thanks Sifu. Quick note, I didn’t think this needed a new forum post.
I think 18.1 Chi Sau Demos (Part 2) is missing. It seems to have a broken link.
Just an FYI (really) 😀
Thanks again!

Sifu, like usual, I’m not sure how to ask this question. I really started pondering it during class today when you presented some instruction.
In summary, I cannot say as of yet that I have found a comfortable rolling in poon sau. Some of the issues I’m facing are:
1) Tight and tired shoulders the longer I roll.
2) if I roll relaxed, my elb…[Read more]
