Thank you for doing this! My early days studying Wing Chun, I studied under a different lineage. I still enjoy seeing the differences and variations in the styles. Great work.-Wing Chun Don-

Donald Eat #2849Sifu Ward, thank you for the advice. I think that this is an awesome idea. I understand that partner training is invaluable and that I what I am after. So I think that I am going to take your approach and see if I can gather some like minded people to train with. Thank you for the advice Sifu. Let’s hope for the best.

Donald Eat #2797Sifu,
I was looking through the curriculum and I understand that you would like a brief description of Yee Gee Kim Yuen Mar before we demonstrate it. Would you like this kind of introduction for each technique? At this time, I have only done this with Yee Gee Kim Yuen Mar. I have finished with all of the solo drills, and am waiting for my friend to assist me with demonstrating and filming the partner drills. As always, thank you for your time Sifu. It is most appreciated.-Wing Chun Don-

Donald Eat #2757I first seen this post this morning on Facebook. I’m happy to see it here as well. Furthermore, I am so glad this issue came up. When I was studying under my first Sifu, he recommended that we do not use the thumb because at that point we become over-committed to the move. He suggested we keep the thumb tucked and not to grab with it. I did not mind doing it that way, and have always enjoyed the drill. However, I regularly want to use my thumb and am so relieved that it is actually appropriate to do so. Thank you for this post.
