Not as such, but this is purely down to there not being much benefit in this changed timing, although… you can do this by changing your Bong to a ‘Chair Pie’ (Sliding elbow), basically turning your Bong into a attacking elbow strike, this could force your partner to defend on the outside of the Bong, resulting in a change of position.

Very welcome, hope the class info worked too.

So you’d not studied Wing Chun before training with us?

I just like to check on students progress and sometimes it helps to know their background first.

Thank you for the reply.

This makes sense,
Thank you Sifu.

Hi Sifu,

No problem for me.

I’m based close to Swindon (Wiltshire).

In terms of styles, I’ve practised WTF (now called “world style”) Tae Kwon Do (so South Korean originated), LAMAS Qi Gong (including White Tiger), Goju Ryu Karate and Uechi Ryu Karate. A deliberately mixed selection that has allowed me to meet a very broad selection of…[Read more]

Hi Richard,

Just a few questions if I may?

Where are you based and may I ask, what have you trained in the past?

Hope you don’t mind my asking, many thanks,

Sifu

Ok, well first things first, if you are in pain, this is your body’s way of telling that there is something not right, so stop doing what you are doing.

Hopefully I will get a chance to take a look tonight in class, but what I will say is, take the pressure off.

Start by training your stance as a 50/50 weight distribution, to be honest this is…[Read more]

Absolutely, no rush yet, there is so much on offer where you are now!

See you in class soon. 🙂

Richard,

Found it and replied to you on Gmail.

We’ll be chatting again tomorrow my friend, good luck! 🙂

Thanks! Anyway i was planning on attending the one weekly class that i have access to. Probably in a few months it would be worth upgrading the subscription to further my knowledge.

Thanks again Sifu!

Hello again Sifu,

I wonder if there might have been a glitch at the end of the video (the one I uploaded was approximately 30 minutes 40 seconds long), as I’ve checked your notes against what I’ve included and cross referenced against the grading list. I can definitely see it’s not perfect when comparing against the course materials of course.…[Read more]

Great news,

But do feel free to ask me questions whenever you like, and if you wish to send me the occasional video to check something for you, do feel free.

Sifu

Hello Sifu,

OK thank you have messaged you using contact us. Would like to finish this off.

Best regards,
Richard

Thank you for the reply Sifu! This answers my questions.

Hi Seth,

Thank you for your comment
‘Not sure if this is the best place to post this, feel free to remove if not’
but this is ok, we have no secrets here. 🙂

The main differences are;
Firstly the extra livestream class available (which is a big asset) plus the catchups being available for the full 7 days afterwards
All assessment fees are also…[Read more]

Hello Richard,

And thank you for reloading your video, I finally got to see it this morning.

For a complete assessment we are missing certain elements:

The rest of the SLT
SBM stepping drills
and of course any chi sau sets

So far though, looking pretty good.

If you would like to contact me via the CONTACT US hidden in the dropdown HELP menu…[Read more]

Hello Sifu,

Firstly thank you very much for this; it’s an encouragement.

All worked as you described; I had to go for the link to hosted content because of the limit to 1 50MB file – but that’s not an issue.

I would certainly appreciate your insights.

Best regards,
Richard
