No need for your password thank you, it was just the full name I needed.
I logged in as you today and found no issue?
Looking at your course progress you seem to be doing fine, halfway through Module 5, and as for the live classes, again I found no problem, just do remember to copy the password before going into the catchup link, as you will…[Read more]

I really have no idea why this would happen, we did have an issue with one student on the Monday class but that was an incorrect link on our side, but everything is correct at the moment so no reason why this would be?
What is your name on the account, or email address and I will log in as you to see what is the issue?
Thank you

Hello Sifu, I hope all is well. Last Thursday I tried to get on the live stream through the website. However, Thursday’s live stream link Kept sending me to a prerecorded Vimeo class which took place on 8/18/2020. I Checked a day ahead (Today 1/26/22) and it appears both links are messed up. I cleared my cache browser and cookies. Nothing seems to…[Read more]

I love both of them
Not that I’ve done them or thought of them until you suggested. But I can visualise the huen to the pak where the top of the wrist stays in contact.
Beating the chair pie with a bong to put them in fook sau when rolling is lovely when you think of it like that.
No doubt both will take some practice. Thank you very much.

It’s nice that you have been able to see variations, and yes, I guess Willian Cheung is a little more of the teaching side, and you are 100% correct regarding Master Chu Shong Tin, the King of Siu Lim Tau as he was known, he always trained the elbow energy when we spent time together in Hong Kong, he blow my students minds when he visited my…[Read more]

Thank you for the welcome Sifu.
I went to a school in Wisconsin under a William Cheung’s (I believe the name was) student. I had a great time with the students doing different techniques for about six months.
I also have a little instruction in Chu Shong Tin branch of Wing Chun. They focused mainly on Taichung and seng. Elbow force. Only a f…[Read more]

HA! LOL, Love it.
No problem, I fully understand and I do know of him.
He visited Karl Stanleys class some time ago to do a little training, I believe he is an ok guy, although people of a… let’s say, certain mind set, can often be unappreciative of different understandings or viewpoints (hope I’ve have written that diplomatically enough?) :-)…[Read more]

Think like this, if a chair pie comes over your fook sau, either Heun Sau to a Pak shape (meaning you stay in the same position) OR defend the chair pie by turning with a Bong, this way a change has been made.
As I say though, there isn’t much need to change from a Bong, and what IS a fook sau, ready position in waiting to attack or defend, OR,…[Read more]

Hi Sifu
Thanks again
This is who I train with at my actual class. https://www.jcvingtsun.com/
I would be hesitant in suggesting a seminar. Although I would happily come along to a one you hold or other class. -

Mostly does make sense. I also watched the videos in this blog to help https://wingchun.online/my-account/video-qa/how-many-different-elbows-are-there-in-wing-chun/.
I think basically after the chair pie elbow I would drop the elbow to the outside allowing me to assume the fook sau position and continue rolling although it wouldn’t be as s…[Read more]

Good day Sifu!
I was curious if you had any recommendations on books that i could read that discuss topics that are about wing chun, i.e., history, in depth information on the forms and so on? I have googled around some and found a few, just curious if you had any favorites?
Also really enjoyed all the information and background that you…[Read more]

Hi Sifu and All:
I am exploring everything on the site and found the forum. I already found answers to some questions on it.
I’m not exactly new to Wing Chun but there is no school near me as I moved to an unincorporated area in Florida. Newly retired so can now train more seriously.
The modules are awesome Sifu. The explanations are very…[Read more]

Hello Sifu,
Yes, that’s correct; this is my first attempt at studying Wing Chun.
Incidentally I’m working my way through the feedback I have so far, and correcting the points – I’ll upload these corrections and advise.
Best regards,
