Totally missed your response Sifu. Thank you. I plan on taking part on Thursdays as best as I can and as my work flow will allow. Some is better than none I think.

      Appreciate you.

You mean you don’t just sit around the computer all day waiting to answer questions from students half way across the world?!?!?!

Look forward to your answer as well Sifu. I understand that chi sao is an integral part of Wing Chu but as a solo practitioner I focus on what I can do and what I can learn. I know that chi sao will be there when I have access to a training partner.

Hey Ted, 49 here as well. After about 20 years of training in various arts my joints just ain’t what they should be! I too have some discomfort in YGKYM. Taking what Sifu said to heart ‘If it’s not comfortable, it’s not right’ with a little trial/error and paying attention to my stance, how I am sinking weight, how I am flexing my knees… I have been able to find a comfortable YGKYM.

      Sifu,

I am not sure you saw my question on another post. Tagging on to Larry’s question I am at work and unable to participate/follow along with the class but I have the capacity to tune in, watch, listen and learn. Is that acceptable?

      Thanks
      Jeff

Thanks for the feedback. I believe squash is played in the US but I am not sure to what degree. I played racquetball a few times when I was a kid. Probably go with an Xl in the shirt size.

      Sifu,

A question regarding the zoom class. Is it possible to zoom into the class and listen? I am at work and really cannot participate but I would like to be able to listen to the instruction. No guarantee that I will be able to zoom in as it will just depend on how things are at that moment.

Let me know if that is an option.

      Thanks
      Jeff

      Sifu,

Awesome stories, thank you for sharing.

Just to clarify I did not train directly with them only with groups within that lineage. All of my Wing Chun experience has been here in Kentucky.

The gentlemen I trained briefly with here in Kentucky was a student of Nino’s at the Basement in London. Nino was here in Kentucky a couple of years back teaching a clinic. I was not able to attend. He has done a couple of FB live teachings recently that I viewed. He seems to be a very unique individual.

I think the notion of an open mind is essential in all aspects of life. So I am with you there.

It seems I saw somewhere in the forum that you are a whiskey drinker….thoughts on Kentucky Bourbon?

      Hey Sifu,

I am in Louisville, KY, USA. We are in the eastern time zone.

My first experience training Wing Chun was in a Leung Ting/Allen Fong affiliated group. Round two was with a group affiliated with Wong Shun Leung/Nino Bernardo. Third was a Moy Yat affiliated group. All in all the training was not long and was spread over a period of 10 years or so.

      Thanks
      Jeff

      Sifu,

Thanks for adding me to the FB page. Excited about using it as a resource. I did see the additional times but honestly due to my work schedule none of them will be a good option at present. No worries, I am digging thru the material and making some changes/adjustments to my Siu Lim Tau to be more in line with your instruction….small tweaks really. I am a solo practitioner so I am focusing most of my efforts on forms/solo drills/exercises for the time being. My Wing Chun experience has been sporadic over a decade and with three different groups.

      Thank you
      Jeff
