Hi Sifu. Thank you for that thoughtful and complete answer. I reread that article to emphasize the importance of what we are talking. Lol before I even began taking wing chun seriously. I had meditated and pondered on what baseline skills anybody would need to be able to pursue a lifelong art. The answer I came up with was focus and discipline. I feel confident that this cannot be stressed enough. Or relaxed about it. Lol that might have been a bad joke but it gets a point that you make. Relaxation is a cornerstone of the internal arts. This cannot be mentioned enough as I remind myself constantly during practice to remain relaxed and relax the jaw and shoulders. Since start up I have been practicing the basics covered so far everyday. While I listened to you during the videos, you speak and teach in a way that reaches the students. Not only that but you emphasize how important it is to practice punches, block and stances correctly with the right state of mind. Sifu no doubt I will ask many questions so that I get the proper teaching and guidance as time goes on. Thank you again Sifu.

Oh my God. Lol how many times has that happened to me? Sifu I feel your pain. I can picture it in my head. Well it’s 10:09 am over here where I am from. So goodmorning.😅 Who is Charlie Chapman?….. Just kidding I know who he is. You have quite the sense of humor. Now regarding the BM stepping. The adaptation of the L shape with my lead foot pointing forward and my back foot off to the left or right depending on the thread foot correct? It shouldn’t be too far apart or too close? If I am not mistaken. I’m giving myself a break. I tend to over think sometimes. I’m going for the Goldielocks effect with this one. With your instruction with the hips tilt towards the positions of my feet and my shoulders and waist point forward ahead. My lead foot having the least amount of weight and my back leg with most of it. The gap between my feet shouldn’t be to close to far apart. I will definitely practice this. I think I understamd Sifu. Thank you very much.

Thank you for replying Sifu. I believe it’s not enough. At first it was too far out and now it’s to close to my lead foot.
