Thanks Sifu. I truly appreciate it. Class was phenomenal! I will definitely watch again! With every layer of improvement there comes even more to learn.

I may know my forms yet I still feel like a novice. I’m…[Read more]

Hi Nick,
Overall, very good. But you don’t want to hear that, you want to know where and how it may be improved, so here we go with some quick fire bullet points.
Sec 1
Tok sau and palms, make this 6 moves not seven, by this I mean do not take time over the prepping for the palms (I’ll show you in class).
Pie jarns, ‘think’ of turning the feet…[Read more] -

Cheers Sifu, here is a copy of my Chum Kiu as requested. Instruction welcome!
Oh… and your former response to Ip Man vs. Iron Mike was excellent. I really enjoyed that!
As always… thank you!

Sifu Colin Ward replied to the topic Ipman vs Mike Tyson? in the forum Members Forum 4 years, 7 months ago
Impossible to answer really but at the same time, anyone could beat Tyson given the right set of luck.
Meaning that… if you managed to Biu him in the eyes and then constantly attack for areas such as the knees and groin then… maybe, but if he got the first one in on you, or me, or Ip Man, then I have no doubt that would be the end of…[Read more]

Could ipman beat mike tyson in a ring if there were no rules? he is much smaller and weaker and donnie yen the actor said he was scared of him in the movie, so i’m wondering, could tactics really beat someone stronger?

n. francis replied to the topic Biu Gee (8 sections)? in the forum Members Forum 4 years, 7 months ago
Wow. Thanks.
I find this a bit humorous because I too had thought of it as “the elbows” and the the rest. But I couldn’t remember “the rest” so I wrote it down. How funny that I drifted right towards the 8 because it “fits” (or I made it fit).
Thanks for showing me that there is always so much more!
I think I’ll remember it now like..

Hey Nick,
I have never thought of Biu Gee having 8 sections and it would seem as though we are just ‘finding’ 8 to make it fit (but then again isn’t that what people did in the dummy form? (108 moves plus 8 kicks LOL)).
Sifu has always referred to Biu Gee as having the elbows… and the rest, also with your method we still have to add the…[Read more]

Sifu,
Is it correct that Biu Gee has 8 sections?
Are they as follows:
Opening
Section 1-4 Kup Jarns
Section 5 Garns
Sections 6 Mun Sau
Section 7 Bius
Section 8 Double Laps
ClosingThen stretching and finish?
I’m not sure if I’m right here? But it seems like the stretching is extra in the form (not a “section” but a closing? Correct…[Read more]

Thanks Sifu. Quick note, I didn’t think this needed a new forum post.
I think 18.1 Chi Sau Demos (Part 2) is missing. It seems to have a broken link.
Just an FYI (really) 😀
Thanks again!

Ok, first of all I say again, if it’s not comfortable it’s not right, so take this with a pinch of salt (as it were).
1) Tight and tired shoulders the longer I roll.
Old school method would be to just ride through this.
At first it is a pain, you get through, then it’s ok and then the pain comes back… stop there.
However, not knowing your…[Read more] -
