The Age Old Question
This was a question put to me from one of our students in Calcutta, a question worth sharing:
Hi Sifu,
Well, as you said that we should not be activating the muscular tension when practicing the first section of Siu Lim Tao form, I’m not quite understanding where is the resistance against the external force coming from. I believe that it is coming from the muscle that is around elbow (and not triceps or shoulder). But again, I could be wrong. Please enlighten me on this one.
Thanks,
Rayhan
As this is such a popular question I thought I’d share a snippet of one of the video classes aimed at this very subject.
There are several parts to this, all of which are to be found on our site, but this piece should help to give a little clarity.
