Pace, power and noise of forms

Unless otherwise stated, try to keep a balance on the pace, power and noise of forms.

Of course the 1st section of Siu Lim Tau must be played slow and of course there’s a difference in power between the Lan Sau and Bong Sau of 1st section of Chum Kiu, but as for the rest of them, keep a balance.

It always has me curious when a sequence of moves or the closing of a section is sped up, or if a technique on the dummy for instance is met with a loud crash or a silent placement.  Why should that particular piece have any more importance or be shown any less attention?

Where possible, keep a balance.
