How are your feet today?

 

I’ve heard people comment before that they played Chi Sau in front of Master Ip Chun and he didn’t even seem to watch them, he just seemed to look at the floor.

 

My friend, he was watching you, very closely.

 

You see when Sifu watches Chi Sau in a class environment he often watches the feet, and as he once said to me, “When I see good footwork, then I look up”.

 

Chi Sau is not just about the hands but about the whole body, moving as one.
