Hi Stephanie,
I’m glad you are enjoying the site and thank you for such kind words.
I am sure you’ll have no trouble finding a training buddy there, in fact I’ll guarantee it.
We have a school in Huddersfield which must have students living south of there, so if you don’t find any yourself (via Facebook, twitter etc) then I will help you out…[Read more]

This will take a person from the beginner all the way to the advanced.LOTS of Wing Chun you need to learn on your own but at some point you will need someone to train with,…[Read more]

I think you’ll find it’s just what you need.Have you also at any point seen the message referring to forming your own training group?
Please let me know and if not I’ll send it across to you…[Read more]

Hi Will and welcome!
I’ve been lurking in the shadows waiting for someone else to say hello first as I’m sure we’ve a couple of students from down there?
It’s funny how glancing at a map Louisiana, Boston, Indiana, Louisville KY, and Ohio etc don’t look that far away from each other.
Yeah right! 🙂Anyway, if anyone is close to you let’s…[Read more]

Welcome aboard my friend!
I’m sure you will find some things different to what you were shown in the past, this happens a lot, in many ways though it’s often the same thing, just put in a different way.
Do try to keep an open mind though as occasionally previous training can hinder
When I first started my training under Master Ip Chun’s lineage…[Read more]

Hi Frank,
Understood.
Although with such previous flexibility I am curious as to why this causes you such concern, my only thought can be that you must be doing it wrong.
I do not mean that to sound rude or that disrespectful, I simply wonder if you are being too much of a perfectionist, perhaps bending the knees too much etc?I’m sure you’ve…[Read more]

Awesome!
It may well be then that a garage wall is not the strongest wall in the house (although you may be underestimating the power of you punch ‘oh chosen one’) 🙂
An outside wall is always a good recommendation, interior walls are often to thin.
Or if you weather is good where you are then on an outside wall or even hung by rope around…[Read more]

Hey Jack,
Just start at the beginning and run through them in order, but do not rush and do not be concerned with watching the same videos over and over, only a robot would get them first time.
It’s completely normal to make mistakes, so watch and watch again until you truly feel you’ve nailed it.

Hi again Jack,
I’ve just had a look to make sure and to save any further confusion.
Only look at the modules.
There are 18 modules, these are divided into 3 groups (beginner, intermediate, advanced), so 6 modules within each group.
These groups have been split again into stage 1 and stage 2, so now having 3 modules in each.
Each of these…[Read more]

Dried chick peas are the best and you’ll find them in health food stores or in large K-marts etc.
As for the towel, start thick and fluffy reducing down to a tea-towel, but good to always keep a cloth over it to keep it clean.
No point covering the hands themselves as this would hinder conditioning of the skin but ‘would’ i must admit, still…[Read more]

Hi Chris,
You should fill your bag with dried peas (chick peas etc) but if you’re saying, ‘I picked up a cloth three pocket wall bag and filled it with dried beans’ then may I ask if the beans are old (same as the bag) or if both are new? If so they may be all crushed and therefore make the bag feel like sand instead of beans.
If this IS the…[Read more]
