Hi Marquis,
The notes below will be simply what I write AS, I watch, therefore they may seem sketchy, here goes…
Punches need to drive from the wrist, allowing there to be a delay on the knife catching up

Great to see you last night Howard, and I must add, REALLY well done.
Both you and Paul nailed it, and, opened a new direction in training for everyone else, an unknowingly terrific contribution.
See you next week hopefully, and keep practicing.

Hey Nick,
First of all, thank you for sharing that, very nice.
There is a top tip tp add to this and it is mainly that, usually when there is a problem, the source of that problem often occurred three moves before, I can address this later tonight in details, either through class or via a video answer.
To your question:
I am guessing that you…[Read more] -

Hi Nick,
First of all, thank you for sharing this with us all, it is SO important that you be open with any concerns, this way allowing yourself to find the answers and move forward, rather than the alternative of possibly just giving up.
This goes for everyone, if there is anything worrying you, you can either share it with the group and let me…[Read more]

Hey Duanne,
Pretty much this is the same elbow for both, the only difference being that of the stance/weight distribution.
In regards to there being a difference in the Biu Gee form (pre Ip Man), I think there was a slighter angling of the second strike in order to show ‘SOME’ difference between the Kup and the Gwoi, even though the stance was…[Read more]

As long as your feet are not turning out, then you should be ok.
The turning in initially is gain comfort with how we redirect force, but once this is understood, we can relax the need to be SO turned in.
I did a post on this recently I think, wonder if I can find it for you…
Let me know how you get on please?

Your approach to finding the answer is good, you are right to seek clarification if uncertain (and even then so).
I must admit that this question made me chuckle slightly in all honesty, because of your experience (and yet asking such a basic question), and yet it is exactly the kind of questioning that will undoubtably put you above…[Read more]
