Probably best to leave the T-step for demos (someone else’s!).
I’ll write a blog regarding Bruce Lee’s journey FROM Wing Chun, I’d like you to look out for it as it will be aimed at you and ultimately ‘Your’ style of WC.
Don’t be excited or concerned, it will simply be a helpful ‘consideration’… (insert smily face here)

Hi Beau,
Back again,
( As I feel every martial artist has their own, we just have fundamentals to work with) I guess I agree with this as it is what the 50/50 refers to!
Do we do a T step? The idea is from side neutral draw a foot behind the other one to make a T then step forward.
In this, are you referring to a 90 step through in Biu…[Read more] -

Regarding the fight, yes that was terrible, William was jumped as I remember it, with emin sneaking up from behind?
But he was a big mouth, saying he could beat anyone, NOT the actions of any real Sifu in my opinion.
As for his studies, yes he does have a lot to offer, but then everyone does, he has learned as he has settled.
I think it took him…[Read more] -

Hi again Beau,
I just wondered if you’d seen the Facebook post someone put on our private group regarding an interview with Sifu about William Cheung?
Quite shocking if it’s the first time you’ve seen it.
You’re home now my friend.

Thank you for this post Duanne,
You’re very kind.
I’m not sure of that blog, although I do remember the name, I think there was a photo of Lions too? (I’ve slept since then) but as soon as I’ve sent this reply, I’m going straight over there to check it out again.
Thank you,

Mistakes are good, we learn from mistakes, at least the ones who succeed do.
Hey, I just read that back, sounds good, you can quote me on that!
Do be careful about training with ‘similar’ to wing chun, especially when you are trying to learn from such a pure source.
Great that you’ve got someone though,

Thank you for the kind words Danny, and I think you know what I am about to say.
One step at a time and you will get there.
Although this is not as far away as you think, do you have a training group formed yet?

THAT is a great post, and you are 100% correct.
I also love that you wrote:

Hi Danny,
Wherever you feel.
You may put it in the same order as listed in the download or start with it if you wish, it’s all fine by me.
Am I to expect an upload then???

Hi Connor,
I’m sorry, I did see your question before and while I was pondering the idea, I forgot to reply!
Yes, do post it and I’ll give it a quick look, of course the concern is that everyone may then wish to do the same thing which would clog up the group, but yes, I don’t mind giving a little feed back.
Please note though, any confirmations…[Read more]

A couple of quick points for you;
Firstly,
When I talk of moving forward (progressing), I am not saying to neglect basics (obviously) but to keep coming back to them rather than staying on them.
Constant revisits help prevent mistakes creeping in.
It’s a dangerous thing when SOME people study basics for ages, believe they’ve got it nailed, and…[Read more] -

You’re welcome.
I’m not saying one is better than the other, THAT is down to the individual, but before you can choose, you need to be shown both.
If you’re strong, collapsing is a choice, if you’re not, IT is not. (he says while grinning insanely)

Hi Beau,
I completely agree regarding the levels, I did the same thing myself, this is why certification is usually only recognised by those who issued it, at least people (the ones that matter that is) know my connection to the Ip family, so that if a certificate has my approval then it is Hong Kong recognised.
In Hong Kong people only ever…[Read more]

Hi Beau,
As soon as you mentioned ‘Level 1 and 2’ I knew that your were training in the other style.
Turning on the toes is just not good. I will NEVER put down another system or teacher BUT, I AM here to teach Ip Chun (and therefore Ip Man) Wing Chun, and the only thing I would say is what I know, AND can justify.
If you have any questions to…[Read more] - Load More
