Hello Sifu,

A few weeks ago when i was on the live class on Thursday and we were doing punches, you had noticed that my head was moving from side to side a bit. I found that i was able to partially resolve it by keeping my elbows tucked in, however, there is still a slight wobble. This isnt an issue with a solo punch or for example, the opening…[Read more]

Good day Sifu!

I was curious if you had any recommendations on books that i could read that discuss topics that are about wing chun, i.e., history, in depth information on the forms and so on? I have googled around some and found a few, just curious if you had any favorites?

Also really enjoyed all the information and background that you…[Read more]

Sifu,

Not sure if this is the best place to post this, feel free to remove if not. I was looking at the difference between the two tiers; serious about training (my current level) and very serious about training. There were two features i was curious about; review of weekly training videos and direct q&a. I was curious as to what the format was…[Read more]

Thank you for that Sifu!

So it seems then that it depends on the angle you are to the dummy and how that would translate to an actual strike from an opponent. So if i stand to the left of the dummy with the one dummy arm straight on, and use a pak sau near the tip, that would translate to my left hand, pak sau to the inside wrist? Which is why…[Read more]

Sifu,

I was wondering what the purpose of the wooden dummy was. Seems a bit off, for example, pak sau on the inside of the arms is really pak sau on the outside, and the fact that the arms are reversed, my left is the dummies left (if that makes sense 😄). I have been reading a book called ‘the Tao of wing chun’ and it was saying that the dum…[Read more]

Today i wanted to join the live class which is at GMT +1 19, which is 13 EST. However, it appears the meeting was never started as i signed on right at 13 and about 5 minutes later to check. Also, clicking to view the previous class doesn’t work at all.
