Be Proud
Be proud of who you are and what you are.
In todays world we have enough to worry about, climate change, overpopulation, famine, ill health, poverty, the list goes on…
So just try each day to find the goodness in something, in someone, and most of all, in yourself.
Forget the crap in your life for a moment and think of all the good you have done and have yet to do.
Don’t be put off by the naysayers, forcing their negative energies onto you, do what you want to do (as long as it doesn’t harm anyone or anything), be who you want to be and train with who you want to train with.
Life is too short to be worried, if you really want to do something, do it
So many times I have had a student begin their training with me, fall in love with Wing Chun and then tell me how they regret their past years of studying a different martial art.
You must not do this.
The years of training you put into your previous style were hopefully enjoyable and fulfilling, and you now have the great advantage of knowing the mindset and attitude of a different style.
Wether that is a martial arts style or simply a life-style.
This is something to be celebrated.
Yesterday’s regrets are history, let them go, if you can find just one thing in your life right now that you are happy with then think of this, changing your past would most likely mean losing that good thing you have now.
So whatever things you did in the past, good or bad, they have all guided you to this point, right here, right now, as you read this blog.
So think, what have you got that’s good now and how can you improve upon that tomorrow?
So I say again, be proud of who you are today, right now, and think of all the good you have done and can still do.
