Awareness Of Your Back Hand, How Aware Are You?


Too many times I see people practicing their Wing Chun, only to have full focus on their front hand, with little awareness of their rear hand, or Wu Sau (Guard hand).


Occasionally the first section of Siu Lim Tau can be to blame for this, due to the hand coming into view only as it reaches the front hand distance from the body.

Punches, Pak Sau’s, in fact nearly everything you do is going to be in front of you, but as for the back hand, for many it’s a case of, ‘Out of sight, out of mind’ I think.
